As-needed visits are scheduled around existing team availability and may require more coordination than recurring weekly care. Because they require more scheduling flexibility, these walks are billed at our as-needed rates.

The Weekly Walk Membership
Best for dogs who need a consistent mid-day routine each week.
Requires: A minimum of 3 walks per week on a recurring schedule that stays consistent week to week.
Puppy & Senior Support Package
Best for puppies, senior dogs, and high-energy dogs who benefit from more frequent outings each day.
Includes: One mid-morning visit & one late-afternoon visit. Not available on weekends, holidays, or as part of pet sitting services.
The Block Party Discount
Best for dogs who need reliable weekday walks in select neighborhoods.
Applies to: Weekday visits when scheduled Monday-Friday between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Not available on weekends, holidays, or as part of pet sitting services.

Additional dog on a walk: +$5 per visit
Applies to dog walking visits only. This fee does not apply to backyard play, overnight stays, or pet taxi.

After-hours visits: +$8 per visit
Applies to visits before 9:00 AM, after 5:30 PM, and weekend visits.Last-minute requests under 24 hours: +$10 per visit

Standard holidays: +$15 per visit

Pawsitively Paws offers private dog walking in Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA, Oakland, CA, and surrounding service areas. Availability may vary by location, schedule, and requested walk time, so the best way to confirm coverage is to start a request and tell us where you’re located.
Can I request a specific arrival time?
Yes. While we may not always be able to accommodate the exact time requested, we’ll do our best to schedule your dog’s walk as close to your preferred time as possible. Once the visit is booked, your walker is required to arrive within 14 minutes before or after the scheduled time. This helps us provide dependable timing while still allowing for traffic, weather, and the realities of caring for pets throughout the day.
Can my dogs be walked together?
Yes. If your dogs live in the same household, walking them together is our standard practice unless you request otherwise. If your dogs have different needs, routines, or comfort levels, we’re happy to talk through the best setup for their care.
Can my dog play in the backyard instead of going for a walk?
Definitely. If your dog prefers backyard time, needs a lower-impact visit, or would be happier staying close to home, we can use the visit for play, potty time, enrichment, and attention instead. We’ll make sure they’re engaged with fun games and cared for in a way that fits their needs.
What does each dog walk include?
Each private dog walk includes one-on-one care, exercise suited to your dog’s pace and comfort level, a fresh water refill, waste cleanup, and a personalized walk summary with photos. You’ll know how the visit went, what your dog did, and anything important we noticed along the way.
What if my dog is nervous or reactive?
We work with many shy, nervous, and reactive dogs using calm handling and positive reinforcement. For dogs who need extra support, we require a meet and greet before service so we can learn about their triggers, comfort level, and care needs. For safety, we do not accept pets with a history of aggression toward humans.
Do I need a set schedule, or can I book walks as needed?
You can do either. We offer recurring dog walking for pet parents who want a consistent weekly routine, as well as as-needed weekday walks for occasional care or changing schedules. Recurring schedules qualify for our best rates, while as-needed walks are priced separately because they require more flexibility and scheduling coordination.
